Ovenbird vs helpdesk AI copilots
Freshworks Freddy, Zendesk AI, ServiceNow Now Assist and similar copilots are good at what they do: drafting replies, summarising threads and surfacing knowledge-base articles inside their own tool. Ovenbird does a different job. Here is the difference without the marketing.
Scope: the ticket vs the process
A helpdesk copilot's world ends at the ticket. It does not know that the bug was escalated to a Jira issue two days ago, that QA asked a question in Slack nobody answered, that the release process requires a sign-off on the Confluence page before the fix ships, or that the customer was promised a date in a call. It can suggest a polite reply. It cannot say "don't reply yet — the process requires the QA sign-off on PD-123 first, and it's missing." That sentence needs the whole process across four tools, which is what Ovenbird gathers.
Output: a draft vs a step
Copilots optimise handle time: a reply ready to send. Ovenbird optimises adherence: the one step the documented process requires, what it means, and the sentence of the document that makes it so. It never writes to customers.

When to use which
If your pain is reply volume, a copilot inside your helpdesk is the right tool and Ovenbird won't replace it. If your pain is that written processes get skipped, that escalations bounce, that new people take months to be trusted with a ticket, or that nobody knows the document is out of date, that is Ovenbird's job — and it works alongside whatever copilot your helpdesk ships.
