Ovenbird for Freshdesk
The ticket stays in Freshdesk. Ovenbird reads it, finds where it is in your triage process, and tells the agent what comes next, then records the note. It never replies to the customer.
Available · connect it from Manage → Integrations.
Why teams connect it
- The runbook on the ticketAgents get the step for this ticket, not a search box. Escalations go once, with the evidence engineering asks for.
- Not a bug, caught at step oneExpected behaviours from the runbook are matched before anyone files a ticket.
- Nothing to the customerOne private note. The reply stays the agent's.
What flows, and what doesn't
What it reads
- The ticket: subject, description, status, priority, requester and company
- The conversation: every reply and private note, in order
- Links to Jira issues found in notes and replies (PD-12775 in a private note links the engineering side)
What it writes
- One internal (private) note when the person says what they did: "Sent Laura the recalculation steps on 8 Oct; waiting for confirmation."
- Nothing to the customer, ever
Processes teams run on it
How it connects
- Connected todayYour Freshdesk domain and an API key from a dedicated "Ovenbird" agent seat, entered once in Manage → Integrations. Agents then ask about a ticket by number, in Slack (/nextstep 48211) or on the web. Available today.
- Least accessRead scopes for the objects you choose; write access limited to one note or comment, or none.
- Per workspace, encryptedEach workspace connects its own account. Credentials are encrypted with a separate key and never shared between workspaces.
Questions buyers ask
Does it write to customers or change records?
No. It writes one internal note or comment when a person records what they did. Statuses, replies and approvals stay with your team in Freshdesk.
What does it need access to?
Your Freshdesk domain and an API key from a dedicated "Ovenbird" agent seat, entered once in Manage → Integrations. Agents then ask about a ticket by number, in Slack (/nextstep 48211) or on the web. Available today. Each workspace connects its own account; nothing is shared between workspaces, and credentials are stored encrypted.
Does it work before the integration is connected?
Yes. Paste a link to a process document and describe the situation; the next step and the course exist the same minute. The integration adds the record's own history as evidence.
