Ovenbird for Slack

The question "what do I do with this?" gets asked in Slack. That's where the answer should be: the next step for the item, with the document quoted, and the thread read as evidence.

Available · connect it from Manage → Integrations.

What it reads

  • Threads that mention the ticket or issue, as evidence: a decision from a lead, a customer confirmation relayed by an account manager
  • Private channels only when the person asking is in them
  • Links to tickets, issues and documents in messages

What it writes

  • Answers where the question was asked: /nextstep 48211 or /nextstep PD-12775, and "I did X, what's next?"
  • Nudges: the course or the two-minute refresher right after an answer, and a one-paragraph summary when a process document changes

How it connects

Questions buyers ask

Does it write to customers or change records?

No. It writes one internal note or comment when a person records what they did. Statuses, replies and approvals stay with your team in Slack.

What does it need access to?

Install the Ovenbird Slack app from Manage → Integrations and sign in once. Search uses a user token, so results respect what that person can see. Available today. Each workspace connects its own account; nothing is shared between workspaces, and credentials are stored encrypted.

Does it work before the integration is connected?

Yes. Paste a link to a process document and describe the situation; the next step and the course exist the same minute. The integration adds the record's own history as evidence.

See it on one of your own documents

Paste a link to a procedure. The next step and the course exist the same minute; connect Slack when you are ready.
