For every team with a written process

Your documented processes,
actually followed.

Ovenbird reads the work in front of a person and your process, and says the one step that comes next — document quoted. It trains people before they need it. It tells you when the document is wrong.

Works across FreshdeskJiraConfluenceSlackGoogle Docs. Each tool sees its step. Ovenbird sees the process.

What it is

What it is

Ovenbird is process guidance software. It reads the work in front of a person — a ticket, a release, an onboarding, a request, with everything linked to it — and your documented process, and answers one question: what is the next step? One step, what it means, the document quoted. The same document trains the team, simulates where work piles up, and gets corrected by the people who use it. It never writes to customers.

Also called: process adherence software · SOP guidance · runbook assistant · procedure training.

Not only tickets

Any process with steps, owners and a document

If it's written down and still forgotten, it fits.

It's written down. It still gets skipped.

📄

The document is far from the work

Process in Confluence. Work in Jira, Freshdesk or an inbox. Decision in a Slack thread. Nobody joins them.

🤷

Busy people guess

Escalations bounce. Customers hear the wrong thing. Releases skip a check. Every one costs rework and trust.

🙈

Nobody can see adherence

It shows up in the post-mortem. Training was a one-off. The document changed after it.

How it works

One document. Taught, followed, corrected.

The loop: Design, Learn, Ask, Improve, around one document Design Learn Ask Improve onedocument
  1. 1

    Design

Paste the page you have, or write one with a guided interview. It becomes a graph: stages, owners, evidence, branches.

  2. 2

    Learn

People train before they need it. Real scenarios, mastery per stage, refreshers at 2, 7, 30 and 90 days.

  3. 3

    Ask

On the real item, in Slack or on the web: where it is, the one next step, why — document quoted. It asks before it assumes.

  4. 4

    Improve

Every "this is wrong", every unanswered question, every failed scenario becomes a suggested edit. The document gets better every week.

Copilots see the ticket. An LMS sees the course. Ovenbird sees the process.

What a pilot measures

Measured on numbers you already track

Bounced escalations

Wrong team, missing evidence. The first number that drops.

Senior interruptions

"What do I do with this?" — answered by people who should be doing something else.

Time to first unaided item

How long a new hire needs before working alone. Learn exists for this number.

Agreed before the pilot. Reported after 90 days.

A hornero beside its clay oven nest on a branch

Why Ovenbird

Named after a bird that builds step by step

The hornero, the ovenbird, is Argentina's national bird. It builds its clay nest one small clump at a time, with its partner, until it holds through any storm.

  • One step, then the next. Your team gets the next step of your own process, in order.
  • Shared work, clear roles. Both partners build; one hands over to the other. So do your stages.
  • A teacher in the family. Its northern cousin sings “teacher, teacher”. Every process becomes a short course.

Questions

Do we have to move our documents into Ovenbird?

No. They stay in Confluence, Google Docs or a web page. Ovenbird reads them live and shows which version it followed.

Does it write to our customers?

Never. It says the step and what it must include. The person writes the message.

What happens when the document is wrong?

Someone marks the answer wrong. The correction applies to similar items at once and becomes a suggested edit for the owner.

Which tools does it connect to?

Freshdesk, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Docs and Calendar, GitHub. More on enterprise plans.

Where is data processed?

AWS in the EU. Claude via Anthropic's API, no training on your data. Details in the sub-processor list.
