Answer clarifying questions

When a missing fact would change the next step, Ovenbird asks first.

Sometimes the right next step depends on something the item doesn't say: was the fix tested on staging or production? Did the customer already get the workaround? Instead of guessing, Ovenbird asks.

You'll see "Before I tell you the next step, I need to know:" followed by one to three questions. Each has options to pick, an Other… box for your own answer, and sometimes a line on why it matters.

  1. Pick or type an answer for each question you know.
  2. Click Continue. You can skip the ones you don't know: "Answer what you know; skip the rest."

You can also type your answers in the message box. They show in the conversation as "Answered: question → answer".

Tip: Questions that people had to answer are a sign the process document is missing something. They're collected for the process owner as signals in Review.
