View a published process
Read any process as a runbook or a workflow diagram, the version Ask and Learn follow.
Every published process has its own page with two views:
- Runbook: the process as numbered steps to work through, with Copy checklist, Download .md and Print / PDF.
- Workflow: the process as a diagram, by stage or by owner, with bottlenecks highlighted and Export.
These views show the published version: exactly what Ask and Learn follow. Edits in progress in the Studio don't appear here until they're published.
Open it
- On Processes (owners and admins): each card has ☰ Runbook, ⎇ Workflow, ◷ Simulate and 🎓 Course.
- In Learn (everyone): the course header links to the Runbook and the Workflow.
- In the Studio: published processes have Runbook and Workflow links on their card.
Owners and admins can share either view from here with 🔗 Share link. See Share a runbook or workflow by link.
Everyone in the workspace can open these pages, with or without Designer access. The page also shows the version, the owner, links to the Document and the Course, and, for owners and admins with Designer access, ✎ Edit in Studio.
When there's no runbook or workflow
The views are drawn from the process's steps. A process designed in the Studio or written in Ovenbird's format always has them. A free-form document (for example a Confluence page written by hand) doesn't: open it in the Studio with ✎ Improve in Studio to turn it into a board, and publish it.
Drafts are previews
In the Studio, a draft's Runbook and Workflow tabs preview the draft as you edit it. A line at the top says so, whether it has changes that aren't published yet, and links to See the published version.
