Versions and what changed
Every version of a process document, what changed between them, and restoring an older one.
Ovenbird keeps every distinct version of each process document it reads. Open More → Versions on the process card.
For each version you see its number (v1, v2…), when it was read, its length, the current one marked current, and how many people are trained on it.
- Select a version to see what was added and removed compared with the one before.
- What changed? writes a short summary and says whether people trained on the old version need to retrain, or whether it's "Wording or detail only: no retraining needed".
- Restore this version brings back an older text. It's available only for processes written in Ovenbird; for Confluence or Google Docs, restore the page there. Restoring adds a new version, so the history is kept.
Why versions matter
Training in Learn is tied to a version. When a process changes in a way that matters, people trained on the old version see "Doc changed" and a short refresher. See Refreshers and process changes.
