Take a course

Ten minutes per process: the stages and traps, then practice on realistic cases.

Open Learn. Every enabled process has a course, built from its document. Cards show your status: Not started, In progress, Trained ✓, Refresher due or Doc changed. Click Start → (or Continue →).

The first time anyone opens a course it takes about a minute to prepare; after that it opens instantly.

The five parts

  1. Overview: what the process is for, why it matters, its stages with owners and done-when, the decision points, connected processes, and words to know.
  2. Walkthrough: one stage at a time: what you do, when it's done, what to watch out for, the exact words from the document, and a worked example.
  3. Practice: realistic scenarios, one at a time, starting with your weakest stage.
  4. Check: about five scenarios; the pass mark is 80%.
  5. Mastery: how well each stage holds, and ways to strengthen the weak ones.

Practice and the check

For each scenario, say first whether you're I'm sure or Not sure, then pick an answer (or Or answer in your own words) and click Check my answer. Wrong answers show the trap you fell into.

Being sure and wrong matters most: "this is the kind of error that reaches customers", so it comes back in your refresher.

In the check, answers are shown after Submit answers; unanswered questions count as wrong. Pass and you're Trained on that version of the process, with your first refresher scheduled. Not yet? Use Drill weak stages or Retake the check.

Mastery

A stage "holds" when your last two answers on it were right. From here you can:
