Design a new process
Four ways to start a process in the Studio, and who can use it.
Open Design → Studio. You need Designer access: owners and admins always have it, and members get it from an owner or admin (see Designer access).
Under How do you want to start? pick one:
| Start | When to use it |
|---|---|
| ✍️ Describe it | You know roughly how it goes. Write a sentence or two about what it's for and click Start the interview. |
| 📋 Paste notes or a doc | You have a Slack thread, meeting notes or a checklist. Paste it and click Turn into a process; Ovenbird turns it into stages, owners and done-when. |
| 🧩 Build it visually | You'd rather drag steps onto a board. Give it a name and click Open the builder. |
| 🔧 Improve an existing | A process already exists and has gaps. Pick it under Which process? and click Start from this; the current document is read first and the interview fills what's missing. |
Your drafts and published processes
The Studio home lists:
- Published: processes that are live in Ask and Learn, with their status (● Live, Turned off, or Unpublished changes when the draft was edited after publishing) and links to the Runbook, the card In Processes and the Course.
- Drafts: work in progress, with the number of stages and when it was last changed.
Inside a draft, the tabs are Interview, Builder, Workflow, Runbook and Simulate. Everything saves automatically.
Delete a draft
Use Delete draft (or the trash icon on its card). It deletes the interview, the board and saved simulations, and turns off its public runbook link. If the process was published, the published process stays in Processes and keeps working.
